<p><span style="color: #000000;">From June 2009 to January 2010, Jen served as the Director of Digital Strategy at <a href="http://airamerica.com/" target="_blank">Air America Media.</a> At Air America, she has helped transition radio, a legacy medium, into the age of the internet. She promotes Air America&#8217;s 15 different radio shows and six different news channels through social media marketing, building SEO and monitoring brand conversation online. Jen helped re-launch AirAmerica.com in fall of 2009 and has been integral in the process of growing the online and radio audiences of the progressive media company.<br />

<p><span style="color: #000000;">From August 2008 &#8211; December 2009, Jen pursued her passion for writing and activism by serving as Editor of the <a href="http://womensrights.change.org/">Women&#8217;s Rights Blog for Change.org</a> where she facilitated daily discussion about the feminist movement as it related to politics, technology and social norms. She was part of the initial launch the Change.org blog action network once it went live in October 2008, and during her time as Editor, she helped bring in nearly half-a-million visitors to the Women&#8217;s Rights blog during its first year of existence. </span><span style="color: #000000;">Previous to moving to New York City, Jen worked for <a href="http://newmediastrategies.net/" target="_blank">New Media Strategies</a> where she employed online campaigns for Fortune 500 companies utilizing the power of social media to promote and protect clients.</span></p>
<p><span style="color: #000000;">Jen has given speeches about the state of the feminist movement and the evolution of social media in front of audiences at Organize 2.0, STAND Against Genocide Conference, Netroots Nation, Princeton&#8217;s Woodrow Wilson School, Politics Online Conference, YWCA&#8217;s 150th Anniversary and many other locations.<br />

<p><span style="color: #000000;">She first began her career by pursuing political journalism at The George Washington University&#8217;s School of Media and Public Affairs. During this experience, she was <a href="http://www.jennedeau.com/published-work/" target="_blank">published by the likes of NewYorkTimes.com, Washingtonpost.com and Stateline.org</a>, among others. </span><span style="color: #000000;">She was also a Yitzhak Rabin Fellow at the Israel Embassy in 2007, worked on independent research for The Brookings Institution, and held several internships in places such as Speaker Nancy Pelosi&#8217;s Congressional office and NBC 11 in San Francisco. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><span style="color: #000000;">In her free time, Jen volunteers for <a href="http://www.newleaderscouncil.org/" target="_blank">New Leaders Council</a>, a non-profit that offers exclusive training for young progressive leaders, where she serves as the Chief Technology Officer and participates as a member of the local advisory board in New York City.</span><span style="color: #000000;"> She is originally from San Francisco, CA.<br />
