<p>Jennifer Nedeau is a media relations professional and writer based in New York City.</p>
<p>Currently, she acts as the associate director, public relations of the Time Inc. News Group where she helps to oversee digital communication strategy and assists with publicity for TIME, FORTUNE, MONEY, CNNMoney and LIFE brands. Previous to working for Time Inc., Jen ran her own consultancy and previously served as the Director of Digital Strategy at Air America Media where she promoted 15 radio programs and six online news channels until the company filed bankruptcy in January of 2010. Between August 2008 and December 2009, she was the editor of the Women’s Rights Blog for Change.org and has also worked for New Media Strategies and America Abroad Media.</p>
<p>Jen has given <a href="http://www.jennedeau.com/media-appearances/" target="_blank">presentations and speeches</a> in front of audiences at The National Press Club, Princeton&#8217;s Woodrow Wilson School, Campus Progress&#8217; National Conference, STAND Against Genocide Conference, Netroots Nation, Politics Online Conference, and more. In March of 2010, Jen was chosen as one of &#8220;<a href="http://womensmediacenter.com/blog/2010/03/jen-nedeau-a-woman-making-history/  ">30 extraordinary women making history</a>&#8221; by the Women&#8217;s Media Center for her writing surrounding health care reform. Gloria Feldt, a feminist activist and author, published a book titled, <a href="http://gloriafeldt.com/about-no-excuses/" target="_blank"><em>No Excuses: 9 Ways Women Can Change How We Think About Power</em></a>, which includes interviews with Jen about the relationship between women and power. In her spare time, Jen volunteers with several non-profits by giving leadership and new media trainings.</p>
<p>Jen graduated with a bachelor&#8217;s degree in Journalism from The George Washington University&#8217;s School of Media and Public Affairs. During her years in college, she worked as a reporter for The GW Hatchet and was published by NewYorkTimes.com, Washingtonpost.com and Stateline.org, among other outlets. She also worked on an independent research projects for The Brookings Institution and served as a Yitzhak Rabin Fellow at the Israel Embassy.</p>
<p>Originally from San Francisco, Jen is a music lover, occasional foodie, traveler, book nerd, coffee enthusiast and martini drinker who speaks Spanish fluently and French terribly.
